ACCUMULATING PERIPHERALS

Just a note: I’ll be roaming around Bretagne from July 9-19 with the family, a Citroen C-1 and a tent, and will probably not be able to blog much. But the most excellent and experienced China-watcher FOARP (of Fear of a Red Planet) has agreed to post in my absence. He has much insight about the rise of China and what it means for the rest of us, and he’s clearly smarter than I am since he recognizes that you probably ought to blog under a pseudonym if you expect to spend a lot of time in a Communist country. Anyway, he’s promised to say what he thinks about events in Xinjiang and I expect to read it with great interest.
