Sasha has spent the past 3 weeks forgetting the tiny plastic spoons I put in her lunch to eat her yogurt with. Every morning I remind her to keep her spoon and put it back in her backpack to take home with her, and every day she forgets.

Today, she brought it home with her. Her trick? She asked her friends to remind her to keep the spoon.

Having asked them to remind her, naturally, she remembered anyway, and had no need for them to remind her.

Sasha will be 6 in July. Why can’t I figure stuff like this out?
