CNN International: better on everything except US politics by mattsteinglass

The good thing about CNN International is that, not having to lower itself to appease the anti-intellectual jingoism of American viewers, it’s generally more intelligent than the domestic American version. But unfortunately for its US campaign coverage it’s decided to employ a bunch of Brits who don’t seem to understand American politics very well. It’d be nice if they could use the relative impartiality of their viewers to instead employ American political commentators who do understand American politics but could be free to speak their minds without hewing to the neutered political “even-handedness” considerations that handicap American political coverage.
