Setting up a free WiFi network or two that happen to reach across Iranian borders: feasible? Wikipedia tells me that citywide WiFi networks provide ranges up to 25 kilometers. The city of Abadan, population 415,000 as of 2005 and home to the Abadan Technical Institute, sits on the Shatt al-Arab, the border with Iraq. How can a government object to their citizens getting a little free WiFi?
